The Miss Florida USA Pageant is underway!!!! Our girls have been preparing since they won in November for this week to arrive. They are ready, and they are going to have a fantastic time!
Erin and Kendra drove together down to Hollywood yesterday morning while Krystal and Jess drove down together in the afternoon. They had a great first day at the diplomat, enjoying a run on the beach and dinner at the hotel.
Today they started bright and early to hit the gym one last time before the pageant begins. Then it was off to some minor pre-taping segments around the diplomat in their opening number outfits. After a quick change, the girls headed down to the convention area to begin registration.
It's off to bed for a very early start to tomorrow's rehearsal day!! Check back tomorrow evening for more behind-the-scenes photos of the 2008 Miss Florida USA Pageant.
With registration behind them, and all their stuff moved in to the hotel room, the contestants headed off to Mama Mia's restaurant in Hollywood to enjoy italian food and sushi!!
After dinner it was back to the hotel for an orientation meeting, to go over the rules of the pageant and introduce the staff, and the TV production meeting to understand what is expected of them and how much goes in to a televised pageant.
